J2EE/Spring Backend Engineer

Based in Munich, Germany

We want to learn more about you if you

have excellent programming skills in Java (C++ is a plus)
have extensive experience with Java server technologies such as J2EE, Spring, and Apache projects and are familiar with the current and future developments in this area
can prove your skills with at least one reference projects in this area
have demonstrated the ability to work with a team to rapidly produce prototypes and iterations
can convince us that you are a driven, self-starter who can multitask in intense environments

Mobile Client Software Engineer

Based in Munich, Germany

Do you have a passion for improving the way mobile devices work? Do you want to be part of a small, focused team of smart people building great mobile products? In addition to being creative, cool under pressure and a good team member, this role has the following requirements:

BA/BS in CS or similar (MS or PhD is a plus)
Excellent development skills in Java, Objective-C and/or C#/C++
Must have built at least two mobile apps (that we can see in action) on at least one of the following platforms: iPhone, Blackberry, J2ME, .NET CF, Symbian OS, Palm OS
Demonstrated ability to work with a team to rapidly produce prototypes and iterations
Driven, self-starter who can multitask in intense environments

Product Manager - Content

Based in Munich, Germany

Do you have a passion for improving the way mobile devices work? Do you want to be part of a small, focused team of smart people building great mobile products? You will be responsible for working through from concept to inception all aspects of building great mobile products: understanding use cases, gathering product requirements, gathering content required, defining product vision, creating design concepts, and working with world class mobile software engineers to bring the product to life. Specific requirements:

BA/BS in CS. (MS in CS, or PhD CS is a plus). Excellent technical skills a must
1 - 2 years of product design or product management experience with web / mobile companies
Working with large volumes of content / publishers and making the content "ready for mobile"
Experience in gathering design requirements and understanding user experience on mobile
Demonstrated ability to work with a team to rapidly produce prototypes and Iterations.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and be "self-directed" in coming up with innovative solutions on how to bring new content into and present it on Aloqa
Experience developing Internet products / technologies
Excellent quantitative analytical abilities
Good written and oral communication, ability to present to customers and partners
"Outbound" experience a plus - working with device manufacturers, operators and publishers to develop a ready-to-market product

Product Manager - Distribution and Partnerships

Based in Munich, Germany

Do you have a passion for improving the way mobile devices work? Do you want to be part of a small, focused team of smart people building great mobile products? You will be responsible for working with Aloqa partners (distribution, monetization, content) and creating great products: gathering product requirements, defining product vision, creating design concepts, and working with world class mobile software engineers to bring the product to life. Specific requirements:

BA/BS in CS. (MS in CS, or PhD CS is a plus). Excellent technical skills a must
1 - 2 years of product design or product management experience with web / mobile companies
"Outbound" experience - should enjoy working with Aloqa partners: device manufacturers, operators and publishers to get requirements, present concepts and develop products for them
Some understanding of advertising and monetization on mobile a plus
Excellent written and oral communication, ability to present to customers and partners at senior levels
Ability to identify strategic market opportunities across mobile segments - users, operators, publishers and device manufacturer
Ability to handle multiple tasks and be "self-directed" in coming up with innovative solutions for partners
Experience in gathering design requirements and understanding user experience on mobile
Excellent quantitative analytical abilities
Excellent written and oral communication, ability to present to customers and partners

Product Marketing Internships (Summer)

2 internships available, one based in Palo Alto, CA and one in Munich, Germany

Do you want to spend the summer being part of an intense, fast moving start-up environment? Are you technical, passionate about users and want to improve the way mobile devices work? Here is what you will do over the summer:

Help recruit beta users and gather feedback on the product
Use Aloqa and come up with new feature ideas and specs to implement them
Find sources of unique location based content on the web and outside
Drive key marketing tactics toward company mission and goals
